Excellent

Syncro Mac, iPhone e iPad excellent.

Still Crashes Every day

Still Crashes Every day

Currently unusable

Currently it is unusable - something is broken with the sync service, when I disable internet access the app runs, otherwise it ends in a 100%cpu loop somewhere. sadly it is impossible to disable the syncing service (there is no logout button...?!). It has potential, and was my favorite rss reader but i am disappointed... my bugreports from many many month ago were also not considered :(

Simple and clean, but still leaves me wanting

It feels very fresh. The font and layout chosen for presenting articles maintain a high level of readability. Im a long-time Reeder user, so in-place images in the news list is nice. Heres where it falls apart: - I cant "read all" articles for a given folder. I want to be able to read my tech news independent of photography or political events. I hope this is coming in the next release! - The articles in the list are way too high, only fitting four articles at a time on an iPhone 6 screen (with no pictures). Within each article, there are 5 rows of text; this makes skimming very difficult.

Horrible and expensive

This app is now worth the price nor is it worth the time downloading onto Apple TV. I will be requesting a refund from Apple.

No full articles?!?!!

Not even a way to save to Pocket... Ill try this again after an update or two...

Finally

Cloud syncing finally arrived after 2 years of waiting. Works great.Been using a Beta version for a couple of weeks now with no problems. But needs an iPad version yet. I think it’s easier to set up your cloud sync account on your Mac first to get all your feeds and statuses up to the cloud so they are available for your iDevice. 5th star when the iPad version shows up.

Outta the blue...

And onto my home screen. Slickly designed. Cloud sync. Only minor quibble: didnt sync all my previously bookmarked items to my phone. Not a huge deal. Highly recommended.

iPhone only?

Okay, its my fault for not double checking, but frchrissake its 2015, how is this not a universal app? Reeder to the rescue.

A glitchy and underpowered app with great potential

I was excited when I saw a new version of NetNewsWire--this used to be my favorite RSS client. This version, however, is a bit too glitchy and underpowered for my tastes. The design is beautiful. The in-app icons, news stream view, and fonts are beautiful and pleasing to view. Unfortunately, this beauty is marred by a stuttering flash whenever I scroll. Also, sync seems slow and unreliable--sometimes articles that Ive read on one device still appear as unread on another. I like the different views in the app--everything is attractive--but I wish I could reverse the sort order of articles. Im going to keep this on my device and take a wait and see approach. Hopefully, sometime soon Ill be able to use this as my primary news reading application.

Decent

Fairly decent news reader. Love the overall look of each view. Great font and font size options. Wish it had mark read on scroll, readability view, and better screen response when swiping left-to-right to go back to previous screen. Dev, take a look at that swipe response in Reeder 2 - really easy to swipe without needing to hit the very edge of the left side. There are some sites unavailable to read on this app? Thats odd.

Disappointing

Very disappointed in this app and deleted it after only a few days. First, there was no way to import my existing RSS feeds, either through a standard OPML import file or through any kind of customized import from the top RSS services. I’d have been happy if it just was able to use my Feedwrangler credentials. Second, a customized share sheet? With App.net but no Pocket? Facebook and Twitter, but no Tumblr? We’re about to get iOS 9 and this isn’t ready for iOS 8.

No iCloud Syncing

Requires signing up for third party syncing service rather than using iCloud to sync.

Great to have it back

Im so glad NNW is back on my phone and syncing to NNW on my Mac. This has been a sorely missing piece of productivity for me. Im really glad they decided to make their own sync service too, rather than rely on a third party again (we all know how well that went last time). I do wish the app had some simple preferences, like which panel to go to on launch; for instance, I always want to start with my sites list and read one site at a time, rather than the cacophony of everything that happened today on all of my feeds, but currently I have to wait for that to load and draw before I can go to what is useful to me. Hopefully in coming updates!

No native iPad support

Was an early adopter of NetNewsWire 4 and been waiting 2 years for this app. The lack of native iPad support is a huge miss. I’m afraid to ask how long it will take for them to add iPad support. As a fellow iOS developer Apple makes it really easy to build Universal apps, I don’t understand how this was not a mmf.

Adding sites much easier

I use the iPhone version on my iPad (yes I wish for iPad version too) but what I have found is how easy it is to add sites relative to previous versions. That I can copy a link in another app and then when I switch over to Netnewswire to add that site and I find the copied link already pasted into the search field makes me happy. Attention to small details in use cases such as add a site earns my thanks

Major FAIL

This would be a great app … if it worked! It crashes while browsing stories; it crashes while attempting to share to Facebook/Twitter. Other than that its great. Worst $3.99 Ive wasted on an iPhone app EVAH! Too bad too, as the Mac version works flawlessly.

Too many glaring omissions

Quick breakdown. + The app is beautiful + Sync works great. - ⭐️⭐️ No iPad support. I understand its in the works, but this app shouldnt have shipped without iPad support. - ⭐️ No full article view. Having to visit sites to view the full article ruins an otherwise great reading experience. Im not going to count another ⭐️ for it, but the share sheet is not that great. The choices are limited and cant be customized.

RSS LIVES!

up from the grave RSS has meaning again; great app!

Love it

I missed this, ever since the early days NNW was my default reader and now that I am back on iOS/Mac, I am glad to have it around. :)
